The Holy Infant : Three Poems

This booklet comprises 12 pages and contains the following poems. The first is The Burning Babe by St Robert Southwell. I have included notes but did not judge it necessary to “translate” the text with a paraphrase as the vocabulary and syntax are more accessible than in some of his other work. The second and third poems are by St Thérèse of the Child Jesus: La Rosée Divine (Dew from Heaven) and Ã€ l'Enfant Jésus (To the Child Jesus). I have included an English translation in verse which aims to replicate the meter and rhyming scheme as well as the imagery of the original.Click here to read the book: 👉 The Holy Infant : Three Poems.
